Rockin R Rides has been offering trail rides in the Black Hills for over 25 seasons. Starting at the Allen Ranch, Hot Springs, SD in 2000; expanding to the Custer area in 2003. After 20 seasons of growing the Heritage Village location near Crazy Horse Memorial into a big, bustling stable – it was time to take a step back and return to a slower pace. In 2023, our new location at Willow Creek was launched! This private, exclusive location allows for a more relaxed and personalized experience.
Our team has combined decades of experience! We are dedicated to safety, superb customer service and have seasoned, gentle horses to ensure a great ride.
Owner, Randy, has many years of guiding pack trips and trail rides in WY, ID, AZ as well as 20 plus years in the Black Hills. He is also the farrier who keeps the horses feet in top shape.
Owner, Peggy, handles all behind the scenes tasks, reservations, etc as well as plenty of saddle time over the years. In addition, she brings experience as a Physical Therapist and an Equine Bodyworker, certified in the Masterson Method.
Head Wrangler, Kat, has been with Rockin R for 16+ seasons and is one of the most highly skilled guides in the Black Hills. She knows the horses, trails and history intimately having innumerable hours in the saddle. She also helps keep the horses in top shape being Masterson Method certified equine bodyworker as well.
